AwareNASH is a research project with the objective to educate clinicians managing patients with NAFLD and NASH on the importance of prompt diagnosis (especially in the case of NASH), along with the relationship of NAFLD/NASH to metabolic disease and CVD. It is funded by an independent educational grant provided by Pfizer.
Using a mixed methods approach, this research project involves a series of virtual meetings with healthcare professionals with experience in the field of NAFLD/NASH and an online survey aimed at assessing the educational needs of practising clinicians. This online questionnaire with 22 questions will investigate the specific needs of the various medical specialties. The learnings will feed into the development of an educational curriculum that will also be hosted on this platform.
